NOVENA FOR PEACEFUL ELECTIONS IN KENYA

4^th Dec 2012 beginning of a rosary for Kenya campaign

23^rd Feb 2013 beginning of novena for elections.

How to pray this novena:

a.     Pray the Rosary daily with each of these intentions for the days indicated.

b.     Read the gospel readings for each of the days.

c.      Make a small intercessory prayer for the intention of each day

d.     Pray the Franciscan peace prayer.

PRAYER INTENTIONS:

Ø  23 Feb Pray for love for our enemies  Mt 5:43-48

Ø  24 Feb Pray that we may build a territory of Jesus in Kenya  LK 9:28B-36

Ø  25 Feb Pray for acceptance amongst all Kenyan Lk 6:36-38

Ø  26 Feb Pray for leaders who will lead us to the will of God Mt 23:1-12

Ø  27 Feb Pray for humility that lead to peaceful coexistence in our country Mt 20:17-28

Ø  28 Feb Pray that we may embrace everyone in our society especially the poor Lk 16:19-31

Ø  01 Mar Pray for acceptance of  the will of God for our country Mt 21:33-43, 45-46

Ø  02 Mar Pray that we embrace forgiveness for the healing of our nation  Lk 15:1-3, 11-32        

Ø  03 Mar Pray for healing of our nation Lk 13:1-9

4^th march 2012 elections day

If possible come for morning mass to thank God for His help for our intentions.

The peace prayer:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,

grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;

to be understood, as to understand;                                                                    

to be loved, as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive.

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen.
