  1. Fellow parents,
The effects of the Kenyan strikes have started manifesting. It is evident that we have failed to take care of our children and have left them at the mercy of the teachers and house helps. During the strike our children involved in so many activities some of which are so detrimental to them, we as parents pretended to be so busy to even attend to their social and other needs; many of them went ahead to look for what they lacked from their parents in the wrong place and people; the end results? When all is said and done; now some parents have resorted to take their own children to abortion clinics in the name of correcting a mistake they should have avoided by bringing up their children in good morals and the fear of the Lord. What are we doing to ourselves? What are we doing to our families and generations to come? What are we doing to our society? Do we really know the effects of these actions?
As a pro-lifer it is so painful to be quiet about the great number of innocent unborn children butchered/sacrificed at the altars of abortion. I echo the word of mother Teresa as I quote her, “I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts… Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion. Abortion is a rejection of the teachings of Christ himself who taught that those who receive a little child receive him. Every abortion is a refusal to receive a little child therefore a refusal to receive Jesus”
Just as the blood of Abel cried out to God from the ground for vengeance, the blood of these innocent children are crying out to God. How do we escape the wrath of God that is called for by our iniquities? Did we know that our hands are full of blood therefore the Lord has hidden His face from us? If you have never procured an abortion and thinking to do so please don’t, and if you have procured one please repent and try as much as you can to promote life in whatever ways you can. Like the people of Nineveh, we tear our hearts and not our garment to return to the Lord who will show us His mercy. O God, save us.
Today, be an ambassador of life; save that child who is at the risk of an abortion at this moment. Medical practitioners you took an oath to protect life, please be faithful to this oath. The church must lead by example so that morality and good values may be embraced. Parents let’s take up our roles in the family as appropriate; fathers must stand up to be counted as heads of the families, a mother cannot forget the child of her breast, what has happened to mothers of today? For those who feel not loved, God loves you in a special way. Just surrender to Him and you will experience the great love of Jesus which is selfless and everlasting, a love that leads to eternal life.
    Ever repenting sinner,
    Steve Philomena
